Our Roots & The CEO
Vela Media is led by Founder and CEO Jherwin (JV), a Filipino-British director and cinematographer. Picking up a camera at just 17, JV spent the next five years building a visual portfolio that has generated over 50 million views across digital platforms.
Under his direction, the foundation of Vela Media was built at the pinnacle of the UK rap and music culture scene. We established our industry footprint by working with major record labels, broadcasting heavyweights like Capital XTRA, and directing high-energy visuals for prominent artists including Michael Dapaah, Backroad Gee, and Jay1. Operating in that fast-paced, high-stakes environment taught our core team how to dictate visual trends, capture raw authenticity, and deliver edits that cut through the noise.

Today, our team applies that same cinematic edge to a comprehensive suite of media services. Operating in strategic partnership with JV Ents, Vela Media sits at the intersection of premium media production and live entertainment.
